Grab your popcorn, friends, and favorite beach blanket and head over to Anisq’Oyo’ Park Amphitheater in Isla Vista for the fourth annual Movies in the Park outdoor film series.

This year’s film lineup features “throwback classics” starting Aug. 23 with “Back to the Future,” shown on a 15-foot inflatable movie screen at center stage.

The Isla Vista Recreation & Park District (IVRPD) has teamed up with its partners at Isla Vista Arts, The Magic Lantern, and UCSB Instructional Development to deliver recreational programming free to the Isla Vista community.

“Our partners at Magic Lantern have curated a movie lineup that will cater to people of all ages, including kids and families,” said Kimberly Kiefer, IVRPD general manager.

“These and other events create opportunities for new audiences to plug in, participate, and become involved in the community, and that’s what we love most about recreation programming,” Kiefer said.

“We at Magic Lantern Films are thrilled to offer this fantastic and free outdoor movie series featuring recent films in partnership with Isla Vista Recreation and Park District,” said Anna Jensen from The Magic Lantern.

“Each film has been carefully selected to cater to diverse tastes, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees,” she said.
