This includes activities like trash cleanup, restoring signage, planting trees, maintaining trails, and protecting local wildlife.

Court-Mandated Community Service

IVRPD offers a Community Service Work (CSW) Program that provides opportunities for individuals to complete community service hours assigned to them by the Santa Barbara County Probation Department or various municipal courts. Examples of assigned duties include picking up litter, graffiti abatement, and assisting Isla Vista Recreation & Park District Grounds Staff with routine maintenance duties.

IVRPD Staff reserves the right to refuse program participation at their sole discretion. For more information or to inquire about completing assigned hours through stewardship, please email cleaniv@ivparks.org.
